The Lagoon Saloon

We had made plans with Ivy and Pea pod to try to meet up at the Mirage with them, Three Card Poker Fan and her husband, also a few others I think, at the Lagoon Saloon around 11:30. We got there and the place was packed ! We looked around and waited outside the entrance but never spotted anyone. I could only assume I would find Three Card Poker Fan sitting at a Three Card table with a stack of chips in front of her and a fancy drink with an umbrella, but nobody was to be found. I quickly lost $30.00 in a video poker machine. Vb2 cashed out up $75.00 and offered to treat me to dinner. We went to the California Pizza Kitchen located near the Race and Sports book right there in the mirage. It was about midnight or after so it wasn’t very crowded. We started off with a half ceazar salad and a coke. The half salad was so big that it alone could have been a meal. This was served with fresh baked bread and those little hard butter packs that rip your bread apart when you try to spread it The salad had fresh grated cheese and ground pepper. We played it safe and ordered the standard sausage pizza. They had a very large selection though. The pizza’s are cooked in a stone oven which is heated by and open fire. The pizza was about 10 inches and was more than we could eat after that big salad. Very good meal and service. I would recommend this place in a heart beat! Total bill for 2 cokes, half salads and the pizza was $28.00 not including tip. A little high, but worth it. We were heading to Treasure Island when all of the sudden Ivy and Pea Pod appeared. They were heading to Harrah’s party pit. We wanted to check out Treasure Island real quick so we parted and headed to treasure Island with plans to meet up at harrah’s later. We caught the last tram at midnight. We played in a poker chips for a while but couldn’t make anything happen. About 2:00 A.M. we went to Harrah’s and met up with Sassy Lassy (sp) outside the door. She was heading back to her hotel and said we had just missed Three Card Poker Fan and that Ivy was going to her room. She also said pea pod had left at some point to walk to the Monte Carlo. This got us a little worried because I could see she was trying to keep up with Ivy Vb2 and I decided to go to Harrahs anyway. This was the first of much time spent here. We had a blast and it’s the only place we really won. They also had great music playing and a very lively casino. I found some poker machines near the buffet entrance. This machine had a bonus 7’s machine. I know the pay out, odds, etc. may not be that of a 9/6 jacks or better but it’s fun! If you get anything over two pair a small slot machine starts spinning. Let’s say you get 3 of a kind for 15 credits. At this time the reels spin. You stop each reel. If you hit red 7’s you get 5x the 15. Blue sevens give 3 times and mixed give 2 x. There are only 7’s on this machine and they come up very often. There is also the chance to get 10 x. I cashed out over a hundred dollars 2 separate times on this row of machines that night. Weplayed and drank there until 5:00 A.M. Vb2 also did very well there. We both made it back to the room up for the day! Finally! I might add that while I’m sure it was safe, we did feel just a little uneasy walking that section that late at night. Lot’s of drunks carrying plastic footballs I believe we went to bed around 5:30 A.M. and back up at 8:30 ! Are you sure they don’t pump oxygen into the rooms??? I might add that we drank all day agian !!! poker game
